So it's about time I got this thing going...
Welcome to 10 Watt Potshots, a little document of my final year at WMUC FM 88.1, the student-run college radio station at the University of Maryland, College Park. I've been involved with this little station for the last three years, and have served as its general manager for the last year, and now this one. It's been a hell of a ride - life at WMUC runs the gamut from routine to ridiculous, as often frustrating as it is glorious, but it has never been less than interesting. Anything goes here (and occasionally, everything does), and I'm immensely proud to have been a part of it all.
So, in the coming months, I'll share stories from the station, both from the here & now and the road behind, with thoughts on the role it plays in campus life and how that has changed, and continues to do so. It may be cliche, but... Stay tuned!
